The anger, it's being identified
Mar. 9th, 2011 08:03 pmThe real reason I'm okay with not having a big all-hands intro meeting for Springwars?
1. It isn't any of ours first time at the Rodeo. Most of the Kumpania are experienced at running events, at least from behind the scenes.
2. I'm sick and tired of never being fucking heard at all hands meetings. Naysayers nay-say, piss in cornflakes and run over anyone with a different opinion. And most of all, shout the girls down. Since SW is being run mostly by the girls, I like that we are skipping that step.
Instead, we took volunteers to run individual sections, appointed people to check in with them, and have held a few meetings amongst ourselves to get things rolling. And honestly, we aren't doing anything different from the past. No big depatures other than a fancy feast, and a couple of classes.
