Weekend Update
Mar. 7th, 2011 10:02 pmIf this weekend update seems a little monday for you, it's because I gave myself a three day weekend. Go-go vacation days! I may have sold my soul to the company store, but it does have a fine bill of goods.
Saturday was husbands graduation party. It went well. My parents visited in the early afternoon, bringing lasagna and sweater tights for me. Dad even congradulated nick personally, which, coming from him can be like the nobel prize.
Later, the friend party started, we had an impromptu Spring Wars planning meeting, I got to spend time with people I don't talk to very much, and I nearly ate the souls of the fuckers who decide that it's awesome to congregate in the kitchen after I go to bed (our bedroom wall is the kitchen wall. Fuckers are loud). Apparently, I scare people without ever leaving my room.
The next morning, I was cheerful and made cinnamon rolls.
After we kicked the last of the crashers, nick and I went to Borders. I discovered that magazines were 50% off and I picked up the remaining pagany ones, as well as Kushiels Dart. Nick grabbed a few other books. I feel bad for the workers, but I also love that they have no reason to be polite anymore. A man came in demanding that his coupons be honored, and when rebuked, ran off in a huff to the cashier saying, "It's on the door. Try reading!"
Then onwards to nicks parents, where we spent the night.
Today was my sister-in-laws final practical for Cosmotology school. Her original model had her hair cut earlier and couldn't do it anymore, and since I have vacation days, nick and I took the day off. I got a hair cut, facial and manicure for free in exchange for sitting and being quiet. She passed!
And my hair is still curly. This is a bloody miracle.
Came home, finished cleaning from the party, danced some, watched Top Gear, did laundry. I wish every weekend was a long weekend.
